Trash Bash 2017 Is Here!!

Posted by Frank Benvenuto on March 8, 2017 in Show with Comments closed |
Each year, our Pack participates in a number of community service projects. The largest event we help out with is the Trash Bash, scheduled for March 25 at 8:00 a.m. at Bay Elementary in Seabrook. Please see the links below for the event details and the waiver that everyone must fill out before participating. We will gather at Bay Elementary beginning at 8:00 a.m. The event organizers will provide a tshirt, a patch, gloves, and a safety vest for all of our Scouts (and parents/siblings as well, minus the patch). At around 8:30, they will bus us over to the Kemah Bridge to begin cleaning up our community. Last year, the boys found a blown out flip-flop and a whole lot of pop tops, but we’re still searching for that lost shaker of salt.

When everyone is ready to head back to the school, a bus will shuttle us back over again. At that time, you’re free to do whatever you see fit. Some families stay for the free hot dogs, drinks, and door prizes. Some families clean well into the day. Some families serve for an hour and head out. Do what suits you best!

Also please note there is NO MEETING next week for Spring Break and we will have our March Pack Meeting and Webelos Arrow of Light Ceremony on March 20 at 6:30 p.m.

I think that’s it for now! Please call, text, email with any questions!

For my bullet readers:
Date – March 25
Time – 8:00 – whenever
Place – Bay Elementary (1502 Bayport Road, Seabrook, TX 77586)

SCOUTING IS BACK!!!!

Our FIRST meeting of the year will be held September 12 at 6:30 at Bay Harbor United Methodist Church in the Family Life Center. We hope to see you there! This will be a Pack meeting and our annual kickoff. Leaders of Troop 678 will provide entertainment for the Cub Scouts so that parents can focus on the information being shared and the scouts don’t have to sit still and be quiet through our administrative discussions.
