Regular cub scout meetings have ended for the year. This does not mean that we can’t join each other for some fun this Summer.
Here are the Summertime Activities for 2017:
•June 3 – National Trails Day
•June 24 – Crabbing
•July 8 – Health Museum
•July 16 – Armand Bayou Nature Center
•August 5 – Rock Climbing Gym
•August 12 – Swim Party
Please remember the requirements for achieving the Summertime Activity Award:
–Each Scout must complete THREE activities
-There are two activities to choose from each month (must be Pack activities, not Council activities)
–First/third and second/fourth weekends
–Three of the six events are FREE
Also, there are some great camps available this summer through Bay Area Council (and I’m sure through SHAC as well). Take a look at the following link for information to Twilight Camp, Splash Camp, Residence Camp, and more. http://www.bacbsa.org/
Lastly, stay tuned over the summer for lots of information about our Summertime Activities and our kickoff for the 2017-2018 Scouting year. Our kickoff is currently scheduled for September 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly at BHUMC.
